A seat that holds up

Every seat cushion uses high-resiliency foam wrapped in a thick poly-fiber layer — supportive enough to sit right, soft enough to sink into. Back cushions are attached so they never need fluffing or re-arranging to keep the sofa looking sharp.

Engineered against sagging

Instead of a traditional sinuous-spring base, Emerson sits on a platform foundation system. In Ashley's testing it resisted sagging 3x better than a spring system after 20,000 cycles, and the smooth platform keeps the seat looking tight and wrinkle-free over time.

Built to be moved and used

The frame is corner-blocked, glued, and stapled, then tested for the stresses of both everyday living and shipping. It's the kind of construction that survives a move to the next house, not just the trip from the truck.

The upholstery

Emerson is upholstered in a 100% polyester woven fabric. It's the workhorse choice for family seating for a few reasons:

• Color that lasts — polyester holds dye well and resists fading from normal indoor light, so Ink, Spice, and Stone stay saturated.
• Abrasion resistance — the tight weave stands up to daily use, pets, and kids without pilling quickly.
• Easy to spot-clean — most household spills lift with a mild water-based cleaner.
• Consistent texture — a smooth, matte hand with subtle visible weave; not slick, not fuzzy.

Accent pillows

Each piece includes a coordinated pillow set:

• One toss pillow in the matching 100% polyester body fabric
• A patterned accent pillow in a 73% polyester / 27% rayon blend for a slightly softer sheen and drape
• Soft polyfill inserts
• The 22" toss pillow on the sofa is included

Patterned fabric on the pillows is match-cut so stripes and motifs align across seams.
